Sunday, November 13th, 2016 – 1pm
Discovery Centre, Clumber Park, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 3AZ
Join the Nottinghamshire Gardens Trust and the Landscape Institute East Midlands in celebrating 300 years of Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown with a talk by photographer and author Steffie Shields.
Her book Moving Heaven and Earth: Capability Brown’s Gift of Landscape, published earlier this year, explores both Brown’s artistic legacy and his pioneering work with water in the landscape. The book evaluates the rise of the English landscape garden in the climatic context of his designs and also forms a comprehensive guide for tours and visits.
The talk is free but space is limited. To book a place please email us at nottsgt@gmail.com.
Please note normal National Trust car parking charges at Clumber Park apply (£7 per vehicle).
