Rufford Abbey has a fascinating landscape stretching from the physic gardens and fishponds of the monks through the C17th and C18th grand landscape design projects of the Saviles to the Rose, Water and Japanese gardens of the C19th. Nottinghamshire Gardens Trust will be on hand at Rufford Abbey to guide tours and run activities for children from 11.00 til 4.00pm. There will be an opportunity for children to plant seeds in a decorated plant pot and a self-guided garden trail.
